The artist
“It was summer and virgin wax was melting. It was necessary to work on it several times until I achieved the desired consistency. It is made from virgin beeswax, which I had to dunk in water to achieve the figures’ hardness. Then, the cast is made with grog and plaster. The wax is melted, leaving the cast empty. Finally, liquid metal is poured, and the cast is removed. This is just one of the many forms of smelting.”
