Description: Three-dimensional artwork of 47.2” (120 cm) x 39.4” (100 cm) x 17.7” (45 cm) approx. It is the close-up abstraction of two human figures in a semi-profile pose sharing a hug.

The artist

“It is a creation that was made without thinking. I just had the aluminum that, to me, was impressive. I never had worked in a metal so thick (4,5 mm/0.18” of thickness) and since in that time period I taught drawing (human figures), I directly drew in the metal a human couple in a hug with white chalk and started chiseling. The name was added years later in 1981 when I met Carlos: Solrac = Carlos, Htide = Edith; and “i” because there would be three Solrachitide. The volume of this piece of art surprisingly towers over the other pieces.”
